A Clarion Call to the Canyon

Clarion Call – “an urgent call to action; inspiration to act.”

Exhale...A new Day

When I think of “Clarion Call” I think of angels.  I even think of the angels in front of Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada and to illustrate that, I posted this collage (the old school way using photos, scissors, and glue) I made 4 years ago with those angels sounding their horns.

Wendy singing at Park House Cafe

Last night I went to hear Jerone Wedig, aka Blues Barber perform at the Park House Cafe in Springdale, Utah.  I always enjoy his music, but last night I was surprised by his friend and mine, Wendy Taylor, when he invited her to take the patio stage.  I won’t write much about the performance because I think the video speaks louder than my words can.

I wrote on one of my other blogs about Wendy’s story – just a snippet of her story, which you can read at http://bloominrags.blogspot.com/2011/02/ranchero-tank-of-gas-and-18.html.  She performs on the patio at the Park House Cafe in Springdale on Saturday, July 2, from 6 pm – 9 pm.  There’s no cover.  I will write what I told her, “Wendy, it’s time.”  Known as The Angel of Zion for her care of Springdale’s beautiful flowers and gardens, this angel has truly arrived and is singing her Clarion Call in the Canyon.

The Park House Cafe, “the artful palette of casual dining” serves fresh, homemade food at very reasonable prices with some of the best views in town.  It’s located at 1880 Zion Park Blvd and the phone number is 435.772.0100.  You can find more information about what’s happening at the cafe on their Facebook Fan Page.
