Praising You…Like We Should

Praising is the theme today, Day 31 of 64 Days of Non-Violence.

In Gratitude

There are so many people who have encouraged me, praised me, guided me, loved me… I hold each and every one of them in my heart with appreciation and love, just as I hold my cuppa every morning before meditation.

I’m grateful to all the wonderful people in my life – from my family to my neighbors & lifelong friends, to those I’ve met and have gotten to know the past few weeks.  All bring to me their beauty, love, and a sense of community, each in their own way.  I thank each and every person in my life for sharing their gifts and bounty with me.

Appreciation helps people to grow.

Offer praise to at least three people today for their personal qualities, achievements, or helpful service.  –A Season for Non-Violence

Remember this song, Praise You by Fatboy Slim?  Remember the official video?  While searching for one with children, thinking that children need to be praised, I found this one and am praising the participants for sharing the expression in dance, movement, and form on YouTube.

The lyrics are so simple…

We’ve come a long, long way together
Through the hard times and the good
I have to celebrate you, baby
I have to praise you like I should

We’ve come a long, long way together
Through the hard times and the good
I have to celebrate you, baby
I have to praise you like I should

I have to praise you
I have to praise you
I have to praise you
I have to praise you like I should

I have to praise you
I have to praise you
I have to praise you
(La la la, la la la la la, la la la la la)
(La la la la la, la la la la, la la la la la)
(La la la la la, la la la la la la)
I have to praise you
